Sending Springtime Smiles

So, I had spring on my mind this morning and here is what it brought! I wanted to try something that I haven't done in a while, so I pulled out the crystal effects and my Easter Blossoms Stamp Set. Again, a very easy project for anyone looking for something simple to make.

Can you see the 3D crystal effects on the little girl and the message?

Welcome Baby!

Here's a great card that you can easily make for a little bundle of joy. This card was very simple to make and I got the inspiration from my upline, LeeAnn Greff (http://www.flowerbug.typepad.com/) how happen to get the idea from Terri's original baby carriage (splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/12330857?cat=500&ppuser=87828).

However, we all have to be a bit different when creating and giving credit when credit is due, so here is my version of "Here Comes Baby in a Baby Carriage."

To create this simple, yet fun card all you need is the following:

Punches: Eyelet Border punch, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Photo Corner Punch, & Modern Label Punch

Dies: Swirly

Stamps: Welcome Baby SAB Set

Accessories: White taffeta ribbon, TomBow multi purpose glue, Mini glue dots, Dimensionals, Circle Scissor Plus (cut circle for carriage 3" leaving 1/4" for top).

Cardstock: Bashful blue, Subtle Collection Designer Series, & Certainly Celery This particular card is for a co-worker that recently had her bundle of joy!

Enjoy!

Mother's Day Gifft Set

For ALL the Fabulous Mama's!

Here's a great Mother's Day Gift Set that will WOW any proud Mama!

I have been a busy bee today, because I will be attending a Craft Fair, here at one of our local Libraries on the 9th of April. So, one of the things that I will be taking with me is this wondeful Mother's Day Set, and yes I know it's a bit early, but I wanted to show people what they could do with paper, glue, stamps, inks, and scissors.

Anyway, I used one of the techniques that my upline LeeAnn Greff taught me, which is the Paper/Faux Suede Technique, to learn more about this wonderful technique be sure to visit her blog at http://www.flowerbug.typepad.com/.

I used the Soft Suede cardstock along with the Soft Suede Classic Inkpad to give the envelop and cards a faux paper finish. It's basically very simple just rub the classic inkpad directly to the cardstock using a circular motion. Don't dab, just RUB and be sure not to lift the inkpad while you are doing this technique.

Materials:

Love Letter Designer Paper, Soft Suede Cardstock, Soft Suede Classic Inkpad (Faux Finish), Early Expresso (dabbed along edges), Early Express grosgrain ribbon, twill ribbon, Flower Daisies #2 Die, Build a Brad, Jumbo Pewter Brad, Tag Punch (large and small), 1 3/8" Circle Punch, and Messsage from Mom Stamp Set

Enjoy!

Man's Best Friend Part 2!

Here's part two of man's best friend. We adopted these to dogs from an animal shelter here in Wyoming. They are fun, lovable, and very playful!
The page was created similar to Part ! with the exception of the layout,
the flower, and the tag punch.
For more information on the cardstock and materials used,
please see Man's Best Friend! Enjoy!

Man's Best Friend!

Toby Dog!

I composed this page in honor of our dog, Toby Dog! He was such a great dog that is truly missed by ALL! He was my craft room companion and there will never be another like him.

To create this page, I used Soft Suede 12x12 textured cardstock (#119948), Cajun Crazy (#119684), Early Expresso (#119686), Stripped designer paper (Neutral Collection Designer Series #117157), and Whisper white cardstock I dabbed the edges with Early Express Classic (#119670) inkpad to give it the aged look. I just love using that technique and it is one that I just never get tired of using. I punched out the hearts using the Heart to Heart Extra Large Punch (#119881).

I am into saving scraps so I used one of the chipboard that came with one of my home decors and I put it threw the crimper and that is what you see at the bottom of the page. The ribbon is the 3/8" Twill Tape (#119971) along with the Early Expresso 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (#120931). To top that ribbon off I used the Jumbo Pewter Eyelets (#108432).

I hope you enjoy this page as much as I enjoyed working on it!
