Inspirational Soul Journal - Ustream Tutorial

As crafters/artist we all have a story to tell through our work.  I know that I create flowers, because growing up my mom always had a green thumb.  She could make anything that seemed dead grow and bloom.  She could work magic with flowers and she loved them dearly.  I on the other hand, can't get flowers to bloom, grow, or stay alive long enough to enjoy them.  So, in honor of my mother who past away from cancer in 2008, I make these paper flowers as a way of saying, I can't grow them, but I can make them.

My family is my inspiration and the more I create, the more I understand how special I am to have them in my life.

So, I have came up with an Inspirational Soul Journal and it something that as crafters we can use to reflect back to our thoughts or should I say "what was I thinking moments"!  This journal tells a story about ourselves and how we are as a person and what we see ourselves as.

Here is a beautiful poinsetta flower that Natalie did with the tutorial I made with the poinsetta die.  It is a gorgeous poinsetta spray and she even added glitter or embossing to the tips of the poinsetta petals.  Gorgeous, absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

I love the way she did the petals and leaves she embossed them adding a more realistic look.  LOVE IT!!!

I have met the most AMaIzing crafter via Facebook and Monica Edwards of Scrap 2 Treasures.  Mrs. Evila French is a talented lady that has shared her take on my Ustream Christmas Poinsetta Spray and she did a FABULOUS job!

Part 1 of Album Tonight on Ustream with Pages

For those of you ladies that joined me on Saturday, here is the 4x6 album that I worked on with you.  I have glued on my matting to my pages and the manila envelope.  We will work on the rest this Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 7pm Central  on Ustream.  I gave some of you some homework for the week, and here I have completed my homework

Part 1 of Album Tonight on Ustream

Hi ladies, just a quick reminder that tonight from 7pm - 8pm Central time I will go live on Ustream to show you how to get started on an album.  The tutorial will be for about an hour, but we will continue with the series until the album is fully completed.

So, for tonight what you will need is your chipboard, Kraft cardstock, Scor Tape, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, Paper Trimmer, Distress Ink, Score board, acrylic paint if you decide to paint the edges (optional), and if we have time designer paper of choice.  Next Saturday we will pickup from where we left off.

Poinsetta Christmas Ornament

Here is a wonderful way to decorate your Christmas tree this year...Poinsetta Ornament.  The ornament hangs on a rustic bell and a plastic snowflake covered in gold glitter.  Beautifully decorated to adorn any Christmas tree this holiday season.
